ESTP Cachan – 43 rue Marcel Bonnet – 94230 Cachan (Arcueil-Cachan station on RER B) Large amphitheater (Vicat building)
After the heat waves we experienced this summer and again very recently, the issue of the fight against the urban heat island is more topical than ever!
Urban heat islands or UHIs are multiplying, exposing city dwellers, and especially the most vulnerable groups, and threatening their well-being and, above all, their health.
The greening of the built block – in particular roofs and facades – and urban infrastructure can provide a response to these UHIs thanks to the phenomenon of evapotranspiration. It can also intervene for better summer comfort for building users.
For its third conference, Adivet is offering a day of presentations and exchanges to detail the theme: definitions, scientific explanations , conditions for proven effectiveness, support systems, feedback and state of the art of research will be on the menu of this meeting.
Speakers from various backgrounds will bring their insights, analyses and experiences on this issue: What roles can the greening of buildings play? Under what conditions, within what limits? What are the future prospects?
This day will bring together experts in the field and an audience made up of players in the building greening sector, contractors, designers, researchers, public authorities, etc. and will be an opportunity for multiple exchanges.
