Nature Futures ‘25 marks the third edition of our annual horizon-scanning event for nature-based enterprises, with a renewed focus on growth, innovation and collaboration.. Bringing together over 300 NBEs and support organisations, it has become the “go-to” event to spot trends, share expertise, and explore new opportunities.
This year, we are focusing on new opportunities for financing nature and the importance of multi-actor collaboration for scaling and impact.
Why Nature Futures?
Nature-based solutions (NbS) and Nature-based Enterprises (NbEs) have a vital role in a Nature-Positive Economy. Nature-Based Enterprises (NbEs) are at the heart of a global transition to a nature-positive economy, delivering solutions in regenerative farming, green infrastructure, and ecosystem restoration. Demand is rising fast: globally, NbS could create 32 million jobs by 2030 (UNEP, 2024), yet in the EU alone, there is a €37 billion annual financing gap for biodiversity goals (European Commission, 2025). To meet this demand, NBEs need capital, supportive policy, and strong markets to scale viable solutions. Events like Nature Futures are crucial in facilitating the closure of this gap, bringing business, finance, and policymakers together to unlock new opportunities and inform the supply side (NBEs) on the growing demand for nature-based solutions.
