This year, and for the first time, the French National Research Program on Nature-based Solutions (SOLUBIOD) and NetworkNature, in collaboration with Urban Nature Plans+, Biodiversa+, Sorbonne University and the City of Paris, are jointly organising the Nature-based Solutions (NbS) International Congress 2026: Shaping a resilient future for people and nature through knowledge and action, taking place from 2 to 6 November 2026 in Paris (France).
As part of this unique and ambitious gathering, the NetworkNature Week will feature a series of events designed to inspire and build the capacity of the NbS community and beyond to continue taking action for nature.
Among these events, the new edition of NetworkNature Annual Event on Futures with Nature, taking place on 3 November 2026, will explore different visions of what resilient and thriving futures could look like — and how to get there.
Throughout dynamic pitches and panel discussions, the event will highlight wise, brave and forward-looking ideas, initiatives, policies and projects that make these futures tangible in the present while preparing for future challenges.
Growing on previous years’ success (see 2024 and 2025 editions) and the growing interest in Nature-based Solutions, we expect around 500+ attendants in person – researchers, policymakers, practitioners, public authorities, national and transnational representatives, businesses, investors and civil society stakeholders.
The conference will be structured around four thematic sessions:
• Future economies | Working for people and nature
• Future ecosystems | Restoring nature with and for people
• Future governance | Decisions for nature and people
• Future lives | Living with nature every day
Each thematic session will involve different short pitches where speakers will expose their vision of a
possible future with nature based on their work. These pitches will be followed by a panel discussion
composed of the speakers of the same session.
