This initiative highlights the importance of collaboration, innovation, and community engagement in building a climate-resilient future.
The Festival as a learning journey through NbS
The Festival is a one-day journey triggered by the needs of local decision-makers and practitioners; fueled by the practical knowledge provided by tools, methodologies and approaches; it stops for reflection, exchange and discussion on NbS with experts, professionals and peers; and finally lands on a learning platform of successful projects and interventions accomplished across Europe.
The venue: Kraš Auditorium
Venue: Kraš Auditorium, Ravnice 48, 10 000 Zagreb, HR
The Kraš Auditorium serves as a modern conference center within the historic Kraš chocolate factory premises. Established in 1911 as the Union factory, Kraš holds the distinction of being the first large-scale chocolate manufacturer in southeastern Europe. Over the decades, Kraš has expanded its confectionery offerings, introducing beloved products such as the Dorina chocolate bars and the Bajadera nougat dessert.
Today, the Kraš Auditorium offers state-of-the-art facilities for conferences and events, seamlessly blending the company’s rich heritage with contemporary amenities. It also provides various services to enhance visitors’ experience. These include an ATM, a Kraš shop, where guests can explore and purchase the company’s iconic confections.
The venue is well-connected to Zagreb’s city center via public transport and provides ample parking facilities for those arriving by car.
Tanja Herr from the Croatian National Association of Green Roofs and Facades will moderate the sessions and present the topic “Green roofs and facades. How to avoid legal and administrative aspect get in the way of fighting heat in the urban environment”.
