French National Association Adivet Expands
Founded in 2002 to promote the greening of green roofs—a then-emerging market— French National Association Adivet has broadened its scope to include garden terraces and green façades. Now, Adivet is expanding further to embrace the greening of urban built environments and infrastructures, particularly in cities. This evolution reflects the association’s commitment to addressing today’s climate challenges and enhancing urban well-being.
By focusing on the greening of urban infrastructures, such as parking lots, building perimeters, tramway tracks, and bus shelters, Adivet recognizes that these areas face similar challenges, involve the same stakeholders, and provide comparable ecosystem services.
To embody the evolution of its positioning, Adivet has changed its signature to: “Greening the urban blocks and infrastructure“.
Adivet brings together all the players in the value chain of greening buildings and urban infrastructure, from clients – local authorities, developers, social housing providers, architects, landscape designers, design offices – to installers – waterproofing and landscaping companies, including technical inspectors, research and training organizations, related professional associations and solution or component suppliers.
Adivet currently has more than 80 member organizations.
Adivet’s missions:
- Promote the greening of buildings
- Participate in the creation and development of the professional technical framework
- Contribute to improving technical knowledge
- Act as an expert
- Report on market trends
- Represent the industry
