The conference “Green roofs for more resilient cities 2022” took place on September 29 in Bratislava, Slovakia
On September 29 the conference “Green roofs for more resilient cities 2022” was held in Bratislava, Slovakia. 135 participants mostly from the ranks of developers, architects, city representatives, and manufacturers of materials for green roofs, but also implementers of more sustainable construction met to expand their knowledge about the latest trends in greener construction in the world.

14 speakers from seven countries of the world presented us with 14 inspiring and interesting presentations, the most beautiful approaches and solutions for green roofs and buildings, solutions for decorative and functional greenery, walkable roofs, photovoltaics, growing roofs, but also green facades of buildings. The participants had the opportunity to see how individual cities change and support greener architecture.
The conference included information about legislation, best practices for green roofs and green walls, a presentation of the most beautiful roofs in Slovakia, the Awarding of prizes to the winners of the Green Roof of the year 2022 competition, as well as excursion to the roofs in Bratislava and Vienna.

On the behalf of the European Federation of Green Roof Associations (EFB) the President of the organization, Dusty Gedge, presented the activities of the organization and talked about the green roofs and their prospects for the future.
The conference was a great opportunity for the participants to meet, exchange experiences and be inspired by best practices. The participants left motivated to make their cities greener and more resilient, with the goal of being part of an amazing story that can change our world.
