Location
The project transformed the headquarters of Vienna’s municipal waste-management department from the 1960s through the installation of an approximately 850m² living wall.
Developed in collaboration with the city of Vienna, BOKU University and the Vienna Parks and Gardens department , the system uses irrigated planting modules containing a diverse selection of perennials, ornamental grasses and herbs.
It provides shading, evaporative cooling, seasonal interest and habitat for urban biodiversity
