The meeting at the European Parliament in Brussels to discuss the implications of the Nature Restoration Law

On the 20th and 21st of March, 2023, a two-day meeting was held for the SoGreen partners.
There was held a fruitful meeting at the European Parliament in Brussels with MEP Maria Soraya Rodriguez Ramos to discuss the implications of the Nature Restoration Law. EFB Vice President Paulo Palha represented EFB and took part in the meeting online.

Among other goals, the Nature Restoration Law package aims at:

  • increasing biodiversity
  • securing the things nature does for free, like cleaning our water and air, pollinating crops, and protecting us from floods
  • limiting global warming to 1.5°C
  • building up Europe’s resilience and strategic autonomy, preventing natural disasters and reducing risks to food security
