SUMMARY:Green Roofs & Walls Forum in Prague 2026
DESCRIPTION:We would like to invite you to the Green Roofs & Walls Forum / Prague 2026. \nThe conference will take place on 8 September 2026 at the Auditorium of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. It is dedicated to green roofs\, green walls and vegetation on buildings\, with a focus on international inspiration\, best practice examples\, biodiversity-enhancing\, blue-green and biosolar green roofs\, and green façades. \nThe programme will feature both Czech and international speakers\, bringing together practical experience\, research\, public administration perspectives and examples of good practice from different European countries. We would also like to highlight that the conference will be simultaneously interpreted between Czech and English throughout the day\, so it will be fully accessible to international participants. The programme includes contributions by EFB representatives\, including presentations on green façades in Austria and Nature-Positive Buildings. \nMembers of EFB are offered a reduced registration fee. The early-bird fee for EFB members is 70 EUR if registered by 31 July 2026. SUMMARY:World Green Infrastructure Congress 2026
DESCRIPTION:WGIC26 Barcelona-Lleida\nWelcome to the WGIC26 – 12th World Green Infrastructure Congress\, which will be held from October 27th to 30th\, 2026\, at the International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB)\, Catalonia\, Spain. WGIC2026 aims to provide a dynamic and interdisciplinary platform for addressing the challenges of the urban green infrastructure sector contributing to climate change mitigation and adaptation on the way to a safer and healthier future. \nAs global society strives for resilient\, healthy and fair cities\, WGIC26 brings together researchers\, engineers\, architects and landscape architects\, policymakers\, industry leaders\, and innovators from across the world to exchange cutting-edge research\, practical solutions\, and forward-thinking ideas. The conference fosters collaboration across disciplines and sectors\, emphasizing the role of green infrastructure and nature-based solutions in driving transformative change. \nThe program will feature keynote speeches\, invited talks\, plenary sessions\, panel discussions\, thematic workshops\, technical exhibitions\, and oral/poster presentations. Participants will engage with a broad spectrum of topics ranging from Strategies\, Policies and Funding programs\, Technologies\, Market GI/NBS sector and Standards\, to Design and Projects\, Execution\, Maintenance and Quality\, but also Education and Training. \nAn important part of the congress will be dedicated to the impacts of green infrastructure\, i.e. the benefits for society\, with the following sections: Climate resilience; Water management; Natural and Climate Hazards; Green Space Management; Biodiversity; Air Quality; Place Regeneration; Knowledge and Social Capacity Building for Sustainable Urban Transformation; Participatory Planning and Governance; Social Justice and Social Cohesion; Health and Well-being; New Economic Opportunities and Green Jobs. \nThree themes will be highlighted during WGIC26: improving people’s health and well-being; recovering society and places after post-conflict or post-disaster situations; and building resilient\, healthy and just cities in the Global South. \nThe program will be structured in two days of parallel sessions and a third day of technical visits to examples of green infrastructure in Barcelona. In addition\, an additional fourth day has been planned dedicated to innovation and research processes in the green infrastructure sector\, which will be hosted by the University of Lleida. \nWGIC26 warmly welcomes submissions of original research\, case studies\, and innovative applications that align with our mission to accelerate the integration of green infrastructure in urban planning\, globally. SUMMARY:Nature-based Solutions (NbS) International Congress 2026: Shaping a resilient future for people and nature through knowledge and action - Paris (France)
DESCRIPTION:This year\, and for the first time\, the French National Research Program on Nature-based Solutions (SOLUBIOD) and NetworkNature\, in collaboration with Urban Nature Plans+\, Biodiversa+\, Sorbonne University and the City of Paris\, are jointly organising the Nature-based Solutions (NbS) International Congress 2026: Shaping a resilient future for people and nature through knowledge and action\, taking place from 2 to 6 November 2026 in Paris (France). \nAs part of this unique and ambitious gathering\, the NetworkNature Week will feature a series of events designed to inspire and build the capacity of the NbS community and beyond to continue taking action for nature. \nAmong these events\, the new edition of NetworkNature Annual Event on Futures with Nature\, taking place on 3 November 2026\, will explore different visions of what resilient and thriving futures could look like — and how to get there. \nThroughout dynamic pitches and panel discussions\, the event will highlight wise\, brave and forward-looking ideas\, initiatives\, policies and projects that make these futures tangible in the present while preparing for future challenges. \nGrowing on previous years’ success (see 2024 and 2025 editions) and the growing interest in Nature-based Solutions\, we expect around 500+ attendants in person – researchers\, policymakers\, practitioners\, public authorities\, national and transnational representatives\, businesses\, investors and civil society stakeholders. \nThe conference will be structured around four thematic sessions:\n• Future economies | Working for people and nature\n• Future ecosystems | Restoring nature with and for people\n• Future governance | Decisions for nature and people\n• Future lives | Living with nature every day \nEach thematic session will involve different short pitches where speakers will expose their vision of a\npossible future with nature based on their work.
