WHAT: Presentation of the new innovation platform, international funding opportunities, the international network and the winners of the innovation awards from 6 countries.
As part of the congress for sustainable building BAUZ! BauZ! 2023 – BauZ! this workshop is dedicated to the presentation of a new international digital open innovation platform: the European innovation platform METABUILDING. In addition, international opportunities, funding opportunities and networks are presented.
Aimed at stakeholders of the wider construction sector, the metabuilding platform assists in finding available funding for SME innovation, innovative technologies and virtually showcases SME products/services, brings together partners for joint projects and offers the opportunity to enter new markets to reach.
The special thing about the platform: the linking of innovators in construction and the 4 emerging industrial sectors:
- recycling and circular economy,
- Additive manufacturing and 3D printing,
- nature-based solutions
- digital industry.
In the workshop you will get to know new opportunities for your future developments, innovation opportunities, partner search and funding opportunities as well as networks such as innovation labs and Austrian clusters or associations.
Innovation projects, winning projects from the international GROW/HARVEST call are presented with the focus on: what do international innovation projects achieve?

Background:
The construction sector needs to challenge its usual practices and innovate faster than ever.
To this end, METABUILDING, an EU-funded H2020 project, has developed an innovation ecosystem that brings together stakeholders from the construction sector and four emerging industrial sectors: recycling and circular economy, additive manufacturing, nature-based solutions and digital industry.
